Muslim Persecution in Xinchiang Province of China

I have been asked through official ways to see what I can do to alleviate the suffering of Muslims in China.

The final resolution to the situation is for Muslim theologians to get together and revise their sacred texts so that caliphates are not perceived by governments as a threat to their secular existence.  It is certainly the case anyway that the caliphate is a spiritual entity uniting Muslims in a given area, whether that area is identified with geographical locations.

Yemen and other areas in the Middle East are still battle zones among warring factions of Sunnais, Shia' and other sects in spite of the Muslim desire and call for peace.  The condition is well-recognized within the Muslim faith:  the caliphate system of Muslim organization is at odds with the political divisions of legally governing national structures extant globally.

What I can do may be minimal.  In China, the tribal roots are very deep.  Any changes in the way Muslims are treated must be handled through the several provinces individually.  The President of China handles international affairs of the nation bound together by the provincial ties of allegiance to cooperate yet to preserve the traditional respect for each provincial's authority at national and regional levels.

You may be interested to know that Chinese people I know well have convinced me that Christianity, dating back some 2000 years, is in desperate need of  updating; and I am already working on this project--inspired by their attempts to reach out and permit the existence of non-home-grown religions on their soil, yet finding them sorely lacking to speak in cogent terms of relevancy to their people!  Nevertheless, be it recognized that Confucianism has become, over the Centuries. a cultural part ingrained in their daily living--losing somewhat a religious character by being thusly transformed.

The thing about President Trump: He's a monarchical maniac!

Trump is a Nineteenth Century romantic; and that's why he thinks the Jewish homeland is to be only in Palestine when the plain truth is the Jews have a homeland wherever they live.  Even in the US!  I saw his speech on C-SPAN last night.  He did not do the US proud, but became a spokesman for Zionism and in that capacity relegated Judaism to a sect.

But that is precisely the point: he wants the world to conform to his image of what the world should be; and for him there is no dialogue possible with those who do not go along with vision.  In his recent talks with other NATO members, he became a laughing-stock amid the chagrin expressed by representatives of other countries that their security should be taken so lightly so to accept his demands for their continued US concern for their protection throughout Europe and environs.

Reportedly, his stance for a Nineteenth Century Romanticism is equally netting a fake-moralistic stance of a "take-it-or-leave-it" deal.  This man is a hindrance to diplomatic discussions and places the US in a position that the US constitution has become threatened and will be non-enforced.

I tell you my position.  It is that the US should learn to cooperate with China and not accept Trump's Romantic notion that he is always "the Father who knows best!"  It will be a miracle if China accepts his demands for a trade deal.

Me: I'm having difficulty where I'm living--to stay here!

They're again trying to get me out!  But now, this time, if I have to vacate the premises, I know (I think I know!), I'll remain in the DC metropolis.

It happens, this time, because I've been told I have to do chores to remain here.  They told me before I didn't have to do chores, but now they say I must.

I'm too old to do chores.  When I was at CCNV on 2nd Street, they exempted me from doing chores.  I like it where I'm at, very much, but I don't know if the present ruling will be enforced against me.
**************************************************

My Credo

I was living in El Paso, but received word I was needed back in DC.  I like doing National Service; and things have gone relatively smoothly since moving here 2 years ago.  I'm not here alone; I'm appealing for help to avoid the present obstacle!

Thank you!  11/12/19  JLO

Iraqis are being exposed to democracy!

C-Span has carried a panel discussion of the present conditions in Iraq held at the Atlantic Council in Washington, DC. recently.  It appears they are learning lessons on how a democratic government functions.

What seemed so marvelous, as brought out in their discussion is the Iraqis can't make sense of who legislators represent in their legislature.  They seem to think that because the legislators are government workers, they must be representing the Iraq administration!  They apparently don't realize that they don't have to protest in the streets to make the central government aware of their demands, they've got legislators working on their behalf to communicate their viewpoints to the administration!

The time is now for infrastructure development of West Coast, US

It has been forwarded to me that there's an immediate need for the United States to develop the Western Coast for a vast increase of trade and commerce to the countries in the East, especially with China and Korea, Japan, etc.  Eventually, I would hope the US would join the TPP once again.

The issue is critical, according to the reports I've just received from the Orient.  The trade channels are being drawn now!!  It won't do that the country forestalls until Trump is out of the picture.  Somebody's got to give approval to the project that will greatly increase the potential of the Western states to handle water and sea traffic from the Pacific countries---I've already said I would relocate to California if I'm needed there more than in DC!  The issue is to launch an upgrade reconstruction NOW! (I would think it might be necessary to also build a second maritime channel across Panama.)

On my opinion, time is of the essence.  The fires in California are horrendous, but the cost of lost trade is a hundred-fold worse; and both are preventable events in the offing.

Whack-O Theory of 10/24/19: The European Union has untold value!

What the EU gives to smaller countries is a place among the big countries of Europe.  My Whack-O Theory is to see the EU as a place for small nations, and even not-really typically considered nations. to function among a community of nations.  After the demise of the Soviet Union, satellites became independent states though clustered in a Russian Federation, each state on its own but sharing with one another as allowed by the EU format.

Albania, Macedonia both are seeking membership in the EU.  But I can imagine that opportunity being offered to those regions in Europe longing for independence to pursue their own cultures and trade and commerce opportunities in their own right: for instance, Catalan in Spain, Scotland in Great Britain.  A region which has economic wherewithal to be independent should be given the chance.  Nothing but good can from the experience of being free.

Turkey was by-passed for EU membership; The Country is showing 'em, now!

I recall a blog item I wrote when it became clear to me that the EU would never accept Turkey into the EU.

There are two major reasons in my opinion: 1) Turkey has become a Muslim nation-state; and the EU is, whatever it is, NOT MUSLIM.  2) Turkey's military is outstanding; and it has militia organization, too.  The EU is fearful that Turkey could become a dominant military force in Europe, clearly dominant in the EU sphere.  NOT IF THE EU CAN PREVENT IT!  (Reminiscent of the Ottoman Empire)

NATO should be responsible for securing North Syria's Buffer Zone

The Commander of the NATO forces, in speaking on TV the other day seemed to suggest NATO as the agency that should oversee the buffer zone of  northern Syria, which the Turks are currently invading.

Indeed, Turkey is a member of NATO and seems appropriate to handle the influx of displaced persons that are to be relocated through a Turkish Presidential order and design.

There is simply plenty of room in the buffer area for more people and their property, as pointed out by several independent observers on the scene.  No need for the Kurds to leave the area they are currently living in but years of animosity voiced by Turkish leaders.

And be it noted, that Kurds live in Turkey without threat of extinction, despite the apparent social ostracism, if not extinction, being pursued by the Turkish government in northern Syria.  The Turks have no legitimate claim to the territory Trump is seemingly ceding to that country.  Besides,  the few American troops that were in northern Syria before President Trump's order to leave, were tiny in number but huge in beneficial effect towards order and stability in the region.

On Rachel Maddow's new book: Bailout; my comment

Rachel Maddow, of MSNBC, just published a book on Russian oil interests under Putin.

I haven't read her book Bailout, but I've listened to discussions about it on the network.

My comment is based on my analysis of Putin's influence upon President Trump.  I detect that there's being formed a coterie of energy resource tyrants, such as Putin (to include the Venezuelan President that he's keeping within "the family"), the Saudis, the US under Trump, and even the North Korean President--all friends in the energy business (North Korea in coal) so as to at sometime in the future,  possibly, exert pressure to establish an energy-resource cartel, similar to OPEC but global in its effect, particularly if it is able to draw upon the US military forces for defensive posture.

When I was in Russia in 1989 giving input into the Russian Federation Constitution framers and designers, I was well aware that in the immediate future Russia would turn to oil as its principal resource for development and worldwide distribution, starting with, of course, to Germany.

Continuing to pursue my personal commitment of some 35 years ago to the US role in the world

I had already left the day-to-day involved world of business and education some years previously when I had the chance of joining a committee to work on planning the United States for the next 500 years, an endeavor I would take on ever since!  Toward that end, I've worked occasionally with the Pentagon and a federal agency on US projects.

The thing is now, I really need inter-governmental support to continue in some important efforts I feel I could be of use in pursuing my current realization of this long-established dedication of mine--.

For the last four years, I have become aware of some projects planned for the Western states to take place soon.  Particularly, I first learned of them when I was temporarily living in California four years ago and was again brought up to their status still in the planning stage in my return visit to Santa Barbara, California this last August.

During my recent trip I was given names of persons who might help me to return to Santa Barbara and live there to make contribution to the projects' development and fruition.  I looked over the plans as was presented to me and saw they are doable; and so I make available the contacts I would appreciate for bringing about my move back to California sometime soon:

Edgar Wesson, Jr., Path Santa Barbara; 816 Cacique Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93103; tel: 805-617-9350
Petra Lowen, Community Living Advocate, Independent Living Resource Center, 423 W. Victoria Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101; tel: 805-963-0595
Carol Baizer, Community Living Advocate, ILRC, 423 W. Victoria Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101; 805-963-0595, ext. 102

I understand these people will know how to get me going again in the Santa Barbara area.  I am particularly known by the federal agency over the years located in Ventura.

I also have information of the city's recreation and understand the downtown center is a resource for my return: Carrillo Recreation Center, 100 East Carrillo St., 805-897-2519.  This resource was supplied me by the city's YMCA.

For your interest, if you're willing to help.  Also, I've had the doctors at George Washington Hospital-Clinic ok for my move of this importance.

Whack-O Theory of 9/22/19: President Trump is establishing an international clique of Energy Moguls

It's aim is to control the world's resources of oil and gas, perhaps, even coal.  The United States military supplies the might to assure that the group will be the dominant source of energy for the planet and outer space.

Among world tyrants, Trump has included himself as President of a nation with massive oil reserves. Putin, who not only controls oil in Russia, but also in vast fields in the Arctic, is also behind the oil producing Venezuelan socialist regime ruling to this day despite protests for true democratic elections.  North Korea with its military, nuclear arsenal qualifies its country's President to become a member.  And Trump has pledged, apparently, the US military to add military defensive thrust to the Saudi government for protection and security of Middle East oil in the OPEC cartel.

The Nigeria government hasn't been courted, yet, though internal strife is never-ending in that country.

Trump doesn't need Iran to join the club since a significant United States military presence is right off its shores right now; and he can use the country as a foil, while he gets his club operational--permitting the dispensing of oil and other natural resources as a vast energy reserve it controls, upon which all nations of the world must rely.

Note that he deals with each Mogul on a one-to-one basis.

Had great time in Santa Barbara, CA week-long vacation; face need for health-aide home care

Had the first vacation trip I've taken in many years!  Enjoyed being in Santa Barbara, California-- where I had a chance to live sometime ago but preferred traveling about.

Came back to DC in good shape, but I need a health care home aide just a few hours each week.  Was turned down because they cited as a reason, I'm ambulatory!  Still, it's hard to do simple things because of my arthritis.  Will keep on trying, but I can't use up what money I have!  The things I face in getting old!!

China has growing pains as it becomes a world super power

Issues of an internal nature, relating to the governance of Hong Kong have become today's headlines around the world!  How will China deal with Hong Kong?  Given that Beijing believes in provincial governance, it should decide to let Hong Kong handle its affairs independently of Beijing when it concerns only its own self-governance.

But if Beijing assumes the stance of an autocracy (dictating to every province its will from Beijing), it will impose its own will and suffer whatever the consequences of that interference will bring.

That's what I believe.

Host of news now: glimmers of democracy penetrate alien walls of despair! Keep the faith!

Libya--Truce in Tripoli just ended.  But it took for four days.  Lasting relief is in sight!

Yemen--The Saudi Arabian coalition is crumbling.  United Arab Republic pulling out its troops.  The Saudis relying even the more on Trump for military support, including drone decimation tactics.  As Trump seeks to overlook hostility of his alliance with the Saudis from Congress--which is, now more than ever before, inconsequential (if Trump has his way with it)?

Moscow--I must say the Russian underground is doing a fantastic job!  Putin is putting together his own select military force as did the Germans of yore.  Nevertheless, despite his denunciations of the Moscow protests, Moscow citizens join to oppose the government's blocking of opposition local-area candidates from running.  The protesters have now tacked  on a long-standing demand to free political prisoners!

And, the HongKong protesters are not giving up after 10 weeks of embattlement with the police.  Long live their spirit as inspiration for liberty and autonomy to every person!

Indian Kashmir--after 70 years of insisting upon autonomy from harsh Indian rule, the Muslims of Indian Kashmir are not swaying from their insistence for either being recognized as statehood within India with its own independent autonomy or becoming a province in Pakistan.  The president of Pakistan is appealing to the nations of the world to enforce justice upon the regime in New Delhi and let the Muslims go, i.e. give up on Kashmir!

Whack-O Theory of 7/28/19: Russian Underground working: Largest Protest against format of local elections in Sept.

This is truly fantasy-land Whack-O!

Putin responds to protesters in Moscow decrying the barring of opposition candidates from local elections in September voting.  He's jailed 1,400 or so of them!  Best protest showing against the Communist-led regime in a decade!  And, the Russian Constitution of the 1990s remains in effect (at least in some measure).

Whack-O Theory of 7/9/19: Who's kidding who? China is winning the trade war!

Please remember, what follows is but Whack-O!

US is suffering from: tariffs on tech items from China; the collapse of soybean sales; possible devaluation of the dollar; likely 2020 recession invading its borders; lack of an aggressive globalization policy; and overtaxing the middle class to pay for the wealthy's recent financial bonanza.  All Trump is willing to do to stem the effects of the wall he's built around our shores is--amass coppers in his coffers and be wary that no one sees his tax records.  Better he hope the Feds will lower the interest rate and soon--this month!

Meanwhile, opportunities go flying by!   China is preparing to be a major distributor of EU goods and services throughout Africa via Italy.  Its negotiating with the Italian government now.  And, the African Union has opened up African countries to free trade--there resides the Chinese all over the continent.  Moreover, trade business between Japan and China couldn't be better, in my opinion.

So, yes, we're waiting to see what great trade agreement Trump has in mind for China and Asia.

But I agree with the President on one thing: Brexit itself is a good deal for Britain!  Can hardly wait for its blessed birth for the whole world to see.

The Brooking's Discussion on Local Governance by militias in Near East I found important

I attended yesterday the Brooking's Institution Panel Discussion on local governance of militias in its Falk Auditorium.  I could discern immediately that the discussion was of major importance.  I perceived that the reason for the flourishing of these groups, mostly Muslim religious, is due to the US State Department's labeling them as terrorist organizations, thereby refusing to deal with them nor engaging to bring them to a higher level of civilization.

But not all of them should be so categorized, simply because they are not all on the same level of civilization. The Communists ruling Russia will not only deal with them but render their support.  I believe that's going too far.  One needs to determine each's commitment to contemporary civilization. Briefly, if anyone of these militia adheres to promulgating jihad in this day and age, it cannot be supported, because modern civilization condemns the practice (unless possibly as part of a defensive tactic tied to particular circumstances).  No going back to the level of a monkey's civilization!

I applaud the Brooking's Institution in staging this panel discussion of such importance in my thought as really to locate the cause of  the Western nation's neglect in helping successfully the people of the Middle East to advance to a higher level of human existence.  For instance, that the US policy to prevent Iran from developing its nuclear programs may work for a time, but Iran or some other country in the region will succeed at some time or other regardless.  A better approach is to educate Iran on an on-going basis, so that they will be far less inclined to use their knowledge of nuclear power to the detriment of the human race, including the existence of themselves.

President Trump exerts Presidential authority over the flow of knowledge

Spurred by US companies who claim patent infringement by companies in China, Trump is attempting to control the ways in which one company finds out another company's trade secrets.  Now this "criminality" is international, and has been committed over the centuries.  I suppose it could be argued that the Englishmen who came to American shores with knowledge how to make furniture and other goods here in America rather than in England had copied the English methods of design and production of manufacturing certain goods.  The point is, its up to the company to hire security personnel to assure their secret processes and formulas are not stolen by other, e.g., their competitors.  And it is true that many US manufacturers would rather do business with India rather than with China companies just for reasons of secrecy in their own ways of making products and doing business.

What Trump can't control is the multitude of universities and research centers where ideas and formulas and computer code are exchanged every working day and then some.  Knowledge will be shared and widely disseminated, but that does not mean that in every country A-bombs are being manufactured nor are currently being planned for production!

There's a problem, to be sure with the very notion of patents; and patent infringement is being addressed by corporations interested in keeping their ways secret and protected.

Trump's tariffs to hit US technology companies and US farm owners, despite Trump's assurances

So, what's new and unanticipated?  Tariffs are bound to take a toll!  But the China-US trade war will have a lasting effect, since the Administration thinks it can continue on this road unblocked  and unimpeded. I think it will just will look like the US is having its own way!

The real losers will be the technology stocks.  The future of the tech world is contingent on trade on the same par between US and China.  Trump has been suckered into thinking he can simply raise the tariffs on goods from China; and everything will be ok with the US going on its own.  It is losing friendly partners fast.

His deal with Japan on imported Japanese cars simply means that Japan must increase its trade with China and the East.  Defense of Japan has been a US responsibility; but with Trump as President, there is no certainty the US will be a controlling factor in the East.  Russia is already in the Mid-East.  The Saudis are not what they once were.  There's a stalemate in Yemen.  I don't think what once was is still the case.  International changes are taking place in response to US tariffs.

Add to these possible contingencies because of the US tariff war with China, the junk from pollution is filling the air and causing climate havoc to be likely felt during the summer humid months ahead.  In the offing are anticipated more storms, so often accompanied with tornadoes.  By the way, has there been relief on its way to Puerto Rico from prior occurrences?

I attended a recent diocese planning meeting

On Thursday, May 16 in the evening I attended a recent Diocese of Washington planning session to talk about possible happenings at the Episcopal Church in my vicinity.

It was a fun event; and I enjoyed it.  I mentioned how I thought the Church could grow in membership in the future.  Alluding to the phenomenon in religion of great preachers like Billy Graham, I said that the Church's sermons today lacked especial relevance to the world we live in.  I urged that our priests could do well to take as their exemplar the Great Father Bacon of All Saints Church in Pasadena, California, whose sermons awakened his congregation with a sense of our doing the right thing as is part of God's purpose in our lives.

I brought out that we Christians should object to joining forces with the Saudis in the Yemen war to throw out the rebels.  I don't even think my hearers know our role in that conflict.  Oh well.

At the end of the session, I was glad someone spoke out that we should have something like a revival preacher come to Washington and stage an event or two!

President Trump tries to force US foreign policy upon EU friendly countries

I think it's despicable and unseemly that our President Trump wants nations friendly with us to enforce our policy of sanctions against Iran upon them!  After all, it's was the US that pulled out of the nuclear agreement our several nations had with Iran regarding its nuclear development and armament.  I understand they are unhappy with the US' wanting them to continue the sanctions.

But then again, the US has been trying to topple the Iranian government since Carter and Reagan; but Iranian faith lives on.

Whack-O Theory of 5/15/19: President Trump Decreases US trading market share for sake of China Cash!

We don't know when a deal will be struck with the Chinese over trade.  So, a Whack-O Theory just in case the uncertainty lingers on and on!  Please remember, this scenario is a fake.

The following seems the case:

1.  The Republican Party has tended to lean toward "made in the USA" stamped on its goods rather
than "made in  China."  That is to say, Trump would have American sold items be made from raw materials found on US soil and produced or manufactured in the US rather than have such items made out of the country.

2.  By pulling out of the TPP, the US has enabled China to become the lead superpower in this trading block.

3.  As the tariff war continues between China and the US, the federal government can steadily feast upon the money taken in from tariffs imposed upon China goods.

4.  China has recently sent Italy a memo of understanding, it has been reported, confirming that it would be willing to act as distributor of EU made goods sent to African nations via its favored trade routes from Italian port cities.

Ultimate result of a continued trade war between them could be an economic depression that would extend beyond the boundaries of the two countries.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Also:

Iran claims the US is looking for a fight.  At first, it considered the chaotic situation in Venezuela but decided at this time not to send troops into South America but to float a US aircraft carrier into the waters off Iran as a sign of military presence in the near East.  If conflict were to erupt between them, Trump's attempt for  a second-term might benefit, since voters in the US may be favorably disposed that he should continue as President at such a time.

Religion has its bounds of authority!

Christianity went through a time of reformation in which the bounds of religious authority in the lives of its believers became clear: the realm of the body was that of the physical; the religious realm was and is spiritual.  And if physical, capable of fact and knowledge; but if spiritual or community influence, subject to belief and opinion.

Just today, CBS news is reporting that a Jewish community is in the throes of a measles epidemic that some parents don't recognize nor think it will affect their children's health.  Put bluntly, these parents are endangering the lives of their children on behalf of their religious convictions.  But these demonstratives have no meaning in a physical world of body and flesh.

India and Nepal are lands where Buddhism sway parents on what to believe about the nature of illness and cleanliness.  They have there rivers and streams that can cause serious disease; yet humans and animals are freely permitted to pollute.  Something urgent must be done to rectify this problem in the physical realm, causing religious belief to become thought of as (scientific) knowledge.

"How well is the X-federal branch of government doing/federal project doing?"

The GAO evaluates the performance of agencies and departments, even sub-departments of the federal government rather nicely.  I've learned a lot over the years by reading some of them.  The GAO people are dedicated and filled with excellent ideas to improve an organization they are tasked to study!  And, of course, there's the voting public that through their vote express some overall opinion.

But the question needs to be asked of the various projects, some of which last for years and years "how well are you doing?"  Maybe, there's some clandestine group that asks the question of some project management team, that I've never crossed paths with, but I find if so, they're not having much of an impact.

I raised the question with those who had a say in the US involvement over the years in overseeing the training of the current crop of Chinese leadership in government, technology, and business.  How often did they express evaluative comments on how the training was going that we provided?   I think, personally. we did a fantastic job, far and above what could have been expected.

That's another thing.  I thing I like most about the US military brass is their commitment to de-centralization: they set the ground-rules and let the tasked commander do his job--with their help from above ever omnipresent, of course.  I've talked to a lot of decision-people who are under this chain of command; and they enjoy their work very much!

Anyway, I think a group like the GAO is needed to be on the job in the projects arena, to be sure.

WHACKO-Theory corollary (important): An asterick should be placed by Trump's name in Presidents List

President Trump missed a photo shoot with the prime dictators in the world today--Russian and N. Korean Presidents--meeting no doubt in part to discuss how to sway American voters in the upcoming 2020 US national election.  Communists must be gloating over the fact that the intelligence agencies of the United States have been unable to substantially overwhelm the Administration's current view with a dosage of reality that in the 2016 election Russia had a part.  And clearly, these two dictators are not US buddies. For Trump, if Russia had been such a threat to the 2016 voting in America, all the blame must be heaped on the former President, a Democrat, Obama.

Trump has even attempted to ameliorate the Russian sanctions since 2017 by lessening their effects, certainly to add no more--a move that might devastate the faltering Russian economy.

So, Russia and the counterpart in North Korea can agree with Trump that so far as Americans are concerned, it's Springtime and everything's beautiful!  And, Americans are simply unaware of  these foreign attempts by Russian hacks and their opinion swayers to put Trump over on them.

Next century, I am sure, historians of American history will insist that an asterisk be placed next to Trump's name in the list of American Presidents, suggesting that there was undue foreign influence in the American voting behavior of 2016.

WHACK-O Theory Important! Russian intrusion into the US voting system is causing a Constitutional Crisis

Please remember that this is a Whack-o Theory.

What's the fallout of the Russian invasion of our computer apparatus and files?  I contend it has led to a Constitutional Crisis in which the three branches of government cannot function as meant by the Constitution's framers.

Essentially, I believe that the Republic is being transformed into a one-man dictatorship wherein the Congress will not be allowed to carry forth its duties of prompt branch oversight--since its subpoenas are not being honored by the Administration without a prolonged fight in the administration's judicial system.

Importantly, in my opinion, the military has not had a say in mapping a defensive strategy to take on the Russian invasion onto our shores, fighting this intrusion with stated strategies of battlements.

The Republicans ought not to allow a foreign power to invade us.  This is not a matter of public opinion; this is a fight to save the Constitution from external bombardment and to preserve the internal separation and integrity of the several branches of government, such that the legislative arm of the federal government is not impeded nor sacrificed for the sake of a fledgling dictatorial Executive.

Indeed, this is a matter, to me, of grave consequence for the preservation of the Constitution and the rule of law it has provided for lo these many centuries.  The US Military must stand to protect the Constitution's implied guarantees of prompt enforcement of regulatory duties and judgments .

UK almost Independent of EU and maybe you'll not have any strings!

Hold on.  You're almost independent without any obstacle a parting deal would present to your new start!

No deal is best, but if there's too much fear standing in the way of this momentous event, then I suppose you'll succumb to sentiment for the EU.

Anyway, the world awaits your courageous effort to break free and be independent once again.  This is important for all the world, because it should open up efforts across the world toward forging a brand new future for the planet!  Go to it; and don't be disturbed nor distracted from your goal of becoming once again a world power of momentous energy and will.  To the future independent UK!!!

Whether or not.Ms. May remains at the PM position is a matter of UK politics, but what you're embarked on, the project of independence, is critical to the world's future development!

Russians Mad About Muslim treatment in Chechnya

I heard on a news broadcast the other day that the Russian people are incensed how Putin put down the Muslims in Chechnya over the past ten years!  Some Russians regard it as actions amounting to waging a genocide!  Hooray, that the Russian public is finally holding President Putin accountable for the atrocities against those Russian citizens who declare a faith he evidently abhors.

More than 100 countries are identified as host countries for US military

CNN reported this past week that there's more than 100 countries worldwide (actually, I think its about 200 countries) who permit US installations on their soil.  By so doing, they enable close ties for military assistance and training of each host country's military as requested and/or needed.  President Trump has said that while the US welcomes opportunities to serve the host countries, each would be assessed some kind of payment stipend on a "case-by-case" basis.

It is interesting to note that the area of the world where this program has seen the greatest enthusiastic welcome is in the Middle East, particularly in the Qatar region, CNN reports.

Strong Support for US Navy Budget Priorities

I want to lend strong support to the Navy's Budget Request upcoming for 2 very crucial reasons:

1.  The Navy must take the lead in field battle operations in the future.  Proposing 2 up-to-date aircraft carriers be constructed to add to the fleet is to my mind a critical step in US military defensive posture.  Navy personnel can now lead in securing areas on land.

2.  The waterways are a major advantage in military strategy.  Particularly, moving troops and supplies under the water is the way to go!  The experience of the Navy Seals over the years proves we must utilize the water in ways heretofore were conceived primarily the province of the Army.
The Navy has also included an increase in under vessels in its budget request.

Well, that's the way I see it from the research I've reviewed.

A reminder! Happiness can be truly experienced in Scandinavia!

I hear that in some wealthy towns in Sweden and Norway, the downtown "main street" is heated under the sidewalks!   If nothing else could give the citizens of such towns true feelings of happiness, I don't think there could exist such a euphoric state of mind in mankind!

They've got the best in healthcare, so it is claimed, and they've got public interest in each citizen's welfare.

....Just a reminder that happiness is known to exist in the state of mind of Scandinavians!  One doesn't have to return to Aristotle's Athens!!

Parkistanis won't give up on Kashmir

For many lo years now, I've supported Pakistan's claim to Kashmir.  The people are Muslim for the most part; the Kashmir Valley is rich and arable.  And I've always felt that India's claim to the land was backed up by the Western non-Muslim block.

Anyway, I've still not changed my opinion that the Muslims are entitled to the valuable Valley land.
I'm glad to see that Pakistan isn't giving up either!  When I talk to Indian officials, they are fond in claiming the Muslims of that area actually want to be ruled by India.  Sure, and they wouldn't mind if  their mosques in Kashmir refrained from announcing their proud Muslim heritage during the daytime  hours!

Some Congressmen want US to stop supporting the Saudis in Yemen

Dare Congress question our support and weaponry for the Saudi backing of the Yemen government in a religious war pitting the Sunnais and the Chia'a?

Nevertheless, today, proposals to stop the US backing of the Sunnais are circulating in its halls.  Hooray, there's hope yet. Instead, there out to be a proposal wherein the US gets both sides together in a peace conference calling for Muslim unity.

President Trump amasses US relief for starving Venezuelans; but nobody with religious valor will take into the country

Where's the Baptists who supported Trump's election?  Why are they standing for the moral thing to do in getting needed aid and assistance into Venezuela to the people there in need?  EU has amassed relief, too yet no one dares to deliver it into the disparate country.  Will no one act to save lives of  the Venezuelans?

It is said the generals currently supporting the President who refuses entry for humanitarian purposes might even change their minds or look the other way to permit convoys of relief into the country.  This is a moment of moral significance, but all countries who would help are scared of Venezuelan troops, who are amassed to prevent entry onto their soil.

Has the whole world of men and women of good will become so inured to the barbs and threats of degenerate leaders so no longer to act from conscience and from their hearts?

Please let the bells of freedom ring once again to revive the spirit of human compassion for those in  dire need!  Don't listen to the devil of your minds, crying let them die.  We can plough threw the barriers, with God's help and Justice.

Water alerts becoming serious!

Recently, the BBC is reporting that the table levels of water below cities around the world are falling, causing havoc with pipes and surface roads and streets.

Add to reports of this phenomenon, are a host of concerns about the quality of water available for drinking and bathing.  It seems nearly critical for India to coddle the cows--allowing waste and pollution of the Ganges and other waters in which people swim and wash themselves yet also into which they defecate regularly.  The cow should not be thought of as any sacrosanct being to do as according to its nature without constraint.

But around the world, water is can be a breeding ground for diseases that humans suffer from.  It is shameful that the people of Bangladesh must live in areas of disease-infested waters.  Certainly, they should be re-settled where water is clear of malaria-carrying bugs!  And how about the drinking water in certain Michigan cities that fails tests administered to certify their maintenance of the  standard for human consumption?

In Jamaica, I noted a few years back that sewer water was carried for miles via open pipes; and the BBC pointed out that in California, the water viaducts are sometimes flowing back rather than carrying the water to its desired locations for crop production.

Add to this amalgam of data about the condition of water that threatens our very existence is the fact of climate change, contributing to the rise of water above the ground in such cities as Miami and perhaps even London.

President's Trump Chance at Greatness

I believe President Trump has undertaken a presidential function that could win him a place in history!

He's a maverick as Presidents go.  And, he's taken on a real problem plaguing the US since the conclusion of WWII.   Eisenhower drew attention to the issue in his farewell address to the nation.  He referred to as an unholy alliance of  big business and the federal government, viz., the industrial-military complex.

It took till Trump for a President to challenge the existence of this alliance by positing his doctrine of  "US first."  According to it, if there's no benefit to the US, any proposed project for the country to undertake must yield good results within a set period of time, given the promised governmental resources of the nation dedicated to it.

This doctrine, I think, has been appropriately applied to the continuing war in Afghanistan, which the US is attempting to scale down its involvement to a standard offer of  providing assistance for training and consultation to governments facing some immediate crisis.
