Professional need: Everyday availability of a computer for me!

This is the second time I've experienced a loss in capability to use a computer; and if it weren't that I finally was able to contact someone about the blocking problem I was having in getting through with information, I still would be in my room upstairs watching TV!

It is to my mind a shame: through the United Nations, I have become acquainted with the Ethiopian strife under Prime Minister Abiy.  I feel I could have at least tried to help out to get the two sides talking with one another.  I would have pointed out that Canada has had the phenomenon of the French rule of Quebec, its province, for lo these many years; and still the country remains one, e.g., under a central government.

Indeed, I applaud the Ethiopians for adopting such a forward-looking constitution as in play now. 

But to return to the problem I was having, I hope something can be done so that I might be able to get through.  Cordially, John O.

Alert the Commonwealth: China in jeopardy of violating contractual agreement over Hongkong just moments away!

The rule of law has been a principle sacrosanct: enunciated and upheld through the Commonwealth and because of this universal understanding, international agreements are enforceable  The UK entered into contractual arrangement with China to cede Hongkong through such an arrangement, bearing the rule of law, that nations in international contractual arrangement will abide by it .

Now, Beijing has before it a proposal that will bypass Hongkong--its people and government--to impose its own will upon Hongkong without any say or deliberation with Hongkong in this matter of critical importance to the region and to international trade in general.  This violates the contract between the UK and Beijing-China; and, significantly, imposes a Communist way of doing business upon the Hongkong Chinese territory and contradicts this very principle of international laws.

For Beijing to proceed upon this course of action will necessitate a negative response from the UK and those other members of  the Commonwealth of Nations.  This response must make clear that China is risking its reputation as a responsible member of the international trade community to make good its obligations under the terms of an agreement by which it has bound itself with its contractual participants.

There are just some facts that no scientist can change.  Importantly, we can't be told to live in hibernation like the bears!

Now that families are huddling together, domestic squabbles have become increasingly violent, sending normal folks to jail on criminal charges to do harm against their relatives!  No scientist can refute the laws of nature: Mankind must live interactively with others of his species on a continual basis.  OR, risk going stir crazy; and acting crazy, too!

I have good friends in Germany, some of whom know Chancellor Merkel well.  They tell me Germany has lent a hand to help nations fighting the virus in neighboring countries.  Gilead Sciences of Chicago, I understand, has come up with a palliative treatment for those persons afflicted by the virus.  So, somethings seem on the horizon to administer to the hospitalized sick with the disease..

The point is, no science should attempt to change human nature such as it is. 

Man, by nature, is a social animal; and must be active, doing things outside, beyond the confines of his domicile--no matter what ail should befall him.  Would that scientists who advocate the "stay in your home" philosophy would acknowledge that simple truth wrought in the human being!

              

The time is now for infrastructure development of West Coast, US

It has been forwarded to me that there's an immediate need for the United States to develop the Western Coast for a vast increase of trade and commerce to the countries in the East, especially with China and Korea, Japan, etc.  Eventually, I would hope the US would join the TPP once again.

The issue is critical, according to the reports I've just received from the Orient.  The trade channels are being drawn now!!  It won't do that the country forestalls until Trump is out of the picture.  Somebody's got to give approval to the project that will greatly increase the potential of the Western states to handle water and sea traffic from the Pacific countries---I've already said I would relocate to California if I'm needed there more than in DC!  The issue is to launch an upgrade reconstruction NOW! (I would think it might be necessary to also build a second maritime channel across Panama.)

On my opinion, time is of the essence.  The fires in California are horrendous, but the cost of lost trade is a hundred-fold worse; and both are preventable events in the offing.   
         

Central Operations--Wish List #1

--Central Ops #1 ("Vegas") is doing fantastic.  I aver for more, more office space; and if possible, a sort of Marriott-type Residence be made available, so that persons involved in the operation could stay up to 3 months.


--Then, I've made it known that the entire  American continent could use the Central Operations concept.  It would necessitate setting up something in San Diego; since communication lines south and north could be better handled through San Diego than elsewhere.  Further, I understand it's already being staffed there.  Well, I would like to move to San Diego to be part of the set-up team!  I would hope a decision could be forthcoming for my moving in November (thinking positively!).

Operations Centers #5 and #6 in Canada

Canada has decided to join the Operations Centers project:  # 5 is designated Vancouver; and #6, Toronto,  has already been put into service: #6.

I think that's all the Centers for now.  No more Operations Centers? The ones identified are in service except for Vancouver.  Seattle and Vancouver  are to come in sync shortly.

It's my impression, the project is a tremendous success; and its principles are so simple!  Good luck, Centers!  Because #2a--Juarez serves such a large area (vastly populated), it is currently in a Second Developmental Stage.

Note:  I can't find at the moment, the announcement of Central Operations #1  among items in the "What's Up?" category;, but in any case, Las Vegas is Central Ops #1; and currently Beth is manning it.  Truly, Vegas is our flagship Ops Center (and I hope for a long time to come!).  

Operations Centers #3 and #4, learning from the First and Second!

It's been only half a year, really, and it's on to #s 3 and 4.


#3 deals with the need to make the GAO have some teeth to its administrative recommendations.  There has to be bite to their pronouncements in order to render their dicta to take on the force of those issued by some regulative agency.


#4: My working with the Chinese these past years has netted much fruit, I believe.  By establishing an Ops Center in Seattle, #4, China and other friendly area nations will enjoin a cooperative effort in maintaining commercial Asian water lanes.  I anticipate changes similar, moreover, to the profound changes that have occurred in Central America, this past year.


Anyway, I asked for and received support for these still-in-the-planning stages, Ops #s 3 and 4.

Forming Operations Center #2

I've been given the green light for Operations Center #2 here in El Paso with a satellite in Juarez, MX, #2A.  Operations Center #1 has been so successful, I would hope the Pope could give a wave to this current endeavor!

In Juarez, the office has already been chosen and things are underway.  I know the El Paso Center will be just as successful, though the challenges reach far into Central America--specifically to Panama!  God bless!
